SEMusicBoxMaker

SEMusicBoxMaker is a desktop tool for creating Space Engineers music pack mods compatible with NordVader Synced Music Player.

It helps prepare music libraries with artists, albums, tracks, sound definitions, duration data, library metadata, a Steam Workshop description, and a thumb.jpg thumbnail.

What the tool is for

SEMusicBoxMaker is for creating music pack mods, not for playing music by itself.

The music pack created by this tool should be loaded together with:

NordVader Synced Music Player

Main features

Create a new Space Engineers music pack mod.
Import music files or whole folders.
Organize music as Artist / Album / Track.
Clean track titles when the file name contains the artist name.
Rename artists, albums, and tracks.
Generate Space Engineers sound definitions.
Generate NordVader music library metadata.
Store track duration data for the player.
Generate copy-ready Steam Workshop description text.
Set the mod thumbnail as thumb.jpg.

Compatible music packs

A compatible music pack is more than a random sound mod.

It should contain:

audio files, usually converted to .xwm;
Space Engineers sound definitions;
stable SoundId values;
artist, album, and track title metadata;
track duration data;
a folder structure that the player can browse.

Recommended structure:

Audio/
  Artist Name/
    Album Name/
      Track Name.xwm

Important notes

The tool does not upload the mod to Steam Workshop automatically.
The tool prepares the local mod files and the text you can copy into Steam Workshop.
Random Space Engineers sound mods are not guaranteed to work with NordVader Synced Music Player.
After changing tracks, albums, names, or files, refresh the music pack data inside the tool.
