# Publishing Music Packs
This page explains the recommended publishing workflow for music packs compatible with NordVader Synced Music Player.
SEMusicBoxMaker prepares the local mod files and the Workshop description. It does not publish the mod to Steam automatically.
## Before publishing
Check that the music pack contains:

## Recommended workflow
1. Create the music pack with SEMusicBoxMaker.
2. Import and organize music as Artist / Album / Track.
3. Run `Write / Refresh Track Durations + Provider`.
4. Set `thumb.jpg`.
5. Open the Workshop tab.
6. Copy or save the generated Workshop description.
7. Launch Space Engineers.
8. Add both mods to a test world:
— NordVader Synced Music Player
— your music pack
9. Build the player block.
10. Confirm that artists, albums, tracks, and durations are visible.
11. Test playback.
12. Publish or update the music pack in Steam Workshop.
13. Paste the generated Workshop description.
## Required Workshop text
Every music pack should clearly say:

This is a compatible music pack, not a standalone player.

Also mention that the pack should be loaded together with the main player mod in the world or dedicated server mod list.

Use a square thumbnail.

## Description contents
A good music pack description should include:
— short overview
— requirement for NordVader Synced Music Player
— included artists
— included albums
— included tracks
— basic usage instructions
— credits and licensing notes if needed
## Important warning
Do not publish copyrighted music unless you have the rights to distribute it.
NordVader Synced Music Player is the technical playback system. Music pack creators are responsible for the content they upload.
