Quickstart
This page shows the shortest workflow for creating a compatible music pack with SEMusicBoxMaker.
Recommended workflow
- Open SEMusicBoxMaker.
- Create a new music pack.
- Choose a clear pack name.
- Add music files or drag a music folder into the tool.
- Check the detected
Artist,Album, andTitlevalues. - Fix names if needed.
- Import the music into the pack.
- Refresh track durations and library metadata.
- Set
thumb.jpg. - Generate the Steam Workshop description.
- Test the pack in Space Engineers together with NordVader Synced Music Player.
Step 1: Create a music pack
Create a new music pack and choose a name that is easy to recognize in Space Engineers and Steam Workshop.
Good examples:

New ModStep 2: Import music
Add tracks by using the import buttons or by dragging files and folders into the tool.
Before writing the pack, check that each track has a clean title.
Correct:
Artist: Kino
Album: Gruppa krovi

Title: Kino - Gruppa kroviThe track title should not repeat the artist name.
Step 3: Organize by artist and album
Use the Artist / Album / Track structure.
This lets NordVader Synced Music Player show a clean library in the block terminal.

TrackStep 4: Refresh metadata
After importing or renaming tracks, refresh the pack data.
This updates:
- sound definitions;
- library metadata;
- artist names;
- album names;
- track titles;
- track duration data.
Step 5: Set the thumbnail
Use a square image for the mod thumbnail.
Recommended size:

Load both mods in the world:
- NordVader Synced Music Player.
- Your music pack.
Build the player block, open the terminal, and check that artists, albums, and tracks appear.
